Originally from Athens, GA, Perkins crafted his own major in film production at the University of Georgia, before the industry existed in the state and the school offered that discipline. His love for engaging audiences was further ignited during his three-year tenure as UGA’s beloved mascot, Hairy Dawg, where he performed for over 93,000 fans every Saturday. After graduating in 2006, Matthew spent twelve years living and working in New York City. Currently residing back in Georgia with his wife and two daughters, he continues to create captivating stories for clients across the country.
